Served by the Fulton County School System, there are over ten public elementary school, four middle school and four public high school options for families in Johns Creek. Autrey Mill Middle School, River Trail Middle School, Taylor Road Middle School and Haynes Bridge Middle School are all available for residents. And the four public high schools in the area consist of; Chattahoochee High School, Northview High School, Johns Creek High School and Centennial High School. There are also a couple private school options which are Woodward Academy – North Campus and Cresco Montessori School.
On any given day, Johns Creek residents can enjoy acres of outdoor recreation at any one of the town's community parks: Newton Park, Technology Park Linear Park and Cauley Creek Park are just a few of the many. And just on the other side of McGinnis Ferry Rd, Johns Creeks’ northern-most border, lies the St. Marlo Country Club.
Every year Johns Creek hosts a variety of free, fun-filled community events. Some festivities include the Fall Family Festival, Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Park Party, Johns Creek Arts Festival, Independence Day Celebration, Movies at Newtown Park and many more. Another local favorite is the Johns Creek Farmers Market, where you'll find fresh foods and produce every Saturday morning from May through August. During the summer, the Mark Burkhalter Park Amphitheater puts on their free Summer Concert Series which is first-come-first-serve and food and drinks are provided by vendors!
